Year 1: Darwin Investigation Walk

Today we have been walking on our investigation walk as part of our plant science topic.  We found lots of different plants using our magnifying glasses to study the plants close up.  We had a fabulous time! As a treat we were allowed to play in the park for our break time.

Saint Peter and Saint Paul

Following our mass today to celebrate the feast of St Peter and St Paul bible stories club, ran by our year 6 children, followed this up by helping children in KS1 understand the importance of these saints.  The children in KS1 enjoyed colouring pictures and carrying out drama activities.

Year 1 – Plants

Year 1 have been learning about the different parts of a plant today and have used their computer time to try out the different activities on ‘Purple Mash’ based around plants and photosynthesis. Year 1 have become competent at logging into their own Chromebook and being able to follow a set of instructions in ‘Purple Mash’.
