We have come to the end of our Animals Including Humans topic in science. Using the skills they have learnt, the class enjoyed completing some challenges.
Children were divided into teams and were stranded on a desert island. They had to decide what they needed to survive by sending messages in bottles over the sea to their teammates on land. When they had everything they needed, they were able to be rescued.
We then looked at food pyramids and sent food to the desert island in bottles. Children had to decide which food group each item was in and where it belonged on the pyramid. Once all foods were in the correct place, they could be rescued.
Everyone enjoyed using their scientific knowledge to help them solve the challenges.
