At St Cuthbert’s our pupils acquire an appreciation for art as well as knowledge and skills linked to observing, drawing, painting, collage, sculpture and printing. Our curriculum is enriched with visits to local art galleries (the Laing and the National Glass Centre), local sculptures and our popular art clubs. We have close links with the PATERN network of art teachers in primary schools through with Tyne & Wear Museums and Galleries to ensure our curriculum is regularly updated.
