  The children in Year 1 have been learning a circus dance routine. They have been learning a sequence of dance moves and creating their own dance moves.

This week in art club we have been making our own Poppy.

In our first art club session we have made our own firework pictures.

In Year 1, we have been reading The Gingerbread Man. Yesterday the children were shown footage of the Gingerbread Man in our classroom with his friends. We really want to find him, so we are making our very own missing posters.

A super start to our club on Monday. We practised different shapes and how to jump safely. Well done to all the children who came.  

For some of our younger children, it has been such a long time since they have visited church. Our children from Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed a visit to our church on Monday morning. The children in Year 1 had a special book delivery. They loved spending time reading the new books in our classroom.

The children in Year 1 compared objects using the language greater than, less than and equal to and the symbols <,> and =. The Year 1 classroom had different objects on each table and the children had to make their way around each table and compare the objects.

The children in Year 1 used the zoom function on Google Maps to find the UK, Seaham and their school. We looked at the things that could be seen from an Ariel view, such as the car park, playground and the Year 1 classroom and decking area.
