Y2 ICT – Algorithms

Today, we created an algorithm (a precise set of instructions or rules to achieve an outcome or solve a problem) to instruct a pretend robot (Mrs Kharko) to make a jam sandwich. Some of us had some very funny looking jam sandwiches. We then discussed what happens if the instructions aren’t precise enough.

Year 1 Maths Challenges

Year 1 completed lots of subtraction challenges today, using number lines, part-whole models and tens frames. They really enjoyed working together to complete the challenges.

Author Visit

Last week, Key Stage 2 were visited by local author and artist Kylie Dixon. Y4 Theatre Trip

Last week, Year 4 visited the Sunderland Empire theatre to see The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. They have been reading the book and exploring The Chronicles of Narnia in their English lessons this term. The performance was amazing and everyone enjoyed the experience.
