Happy Star Wars Day everyone!

As usual, please go to the Google Drive to access your work. Any problems please email me or Mr Graham e.parlett@stcuthbertsprimary.com  b.graham@stcuthbertsprimary.com

In maths, could you please revise short multiplication? This is where we set our work out in columns to multiply. Choose a chilli challenge from the Trapped in Time sheets below. One, two or three stars. There’s no need to print the sheets. I will send the answers later in the day for you to check. Remember to line your units up neatly. You could warm up by

In English, we are moving on to the next bit of your Just So Story. Watch my video and then use the Introducing Your Character doc to help you have a go yourself. If you’ve already done your story, perhaps you could use the sheet to make some edits otherwise you can get on with your VE day project

On Friday it will be a bank holiday this week because we are going to be celebrating 75 years since VE Day. It is really important to know about VE day whether this is finding out by yourself or with your family. I will post an activity that I would like you to complete each day however, you can also choose from some of the activities below.

There may be someone in your family – a great grandparent perhaps – that you can phone to speak to about the first VE day when fighting in WW2 stopped across Europe. How did people feel? What can they remember? Did they have a party in the street?

There may be TV programmes on that you can find and watch with your family.

After the war, rationing still continued for a long time – I have included some information about this if you are interested.

Can you help to make things to decorate your house for Friday or perhaps bake something to share with your family in the garden? If we were in school we would have been having a big party on the yard on Thursday. If we can share our VE day pictures on the Google Drive, it might feel like we are celebrating together in a small way.

I’ve included some links and activities you could try on the Google Drive but if you have any better ideas or would prefer to choose how to present your information rather than on worksheets, then I’m happy for you to do that.
