You all looked so trendy with your fantastic pirate hats – well done. I can’t believe its Fun Friday already. I hope you have enjoyed all of the pirate activities. You all look like you have had lots of fun. I also hope you have followed all of the daily rules and been good, kind pirates.
There are some fun challenges on Whiterose maths today where you have to count the pieces of treasure. I also want you to look really carefully at the picture of Captain Groark. It is me !!! You can have some fun on Purple Mash putting your picture onto different costumes.
Don’t forget the tasks I set for you are just ideas and you don’t need to do them all or you might want to do different activities.

Watch YouTube for your daily phonics work. Today the sounds are:
Set 1 – qu Set 2 – oo – poo at the zoo Set 3 – oa Lots of you enjoyed your colouring phonics sheet so I’ve included another one for you to read the tricky words and colour them in the correct colour by looking at the guide. |
| Literacy | What can you see? Pirates are always on the look- out looking for islands to find treasure. Looking at the picture, what things can you see to report back to the captain? |
| Maths | Go to Whiterose maths Summer Term Week 2 Day 5 – There is a fun game you might want to play where you have to count the treasure.
As a challenge, I’ve included a 1 more 1 less sheet game. You could ask a grown up to put numbers in the box under the flag or you could write numbers on pieces of paper up to 10 or 20. Put them face down on the table and when you pick up a card put that number in the box.

| Other areas of learning | I had some fun using Purple Mash to make myself into a pirate. If you go to Purple mash go into mini mash, go outside and click on the pirate then go to role play.
I’ve also included a Science experiment to have some fun with. |
