This week is Waterwise Week so use the links below to learn about it .
If can do something relating to this that’d be great as it links to us being an “eco school” and could go towards Mrs Prest’s green flag award and article 24 – the right to clean water.

Save Water

I was amazed at some of the information here:

https://waterwise.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Kids-leak-detective-hand-out.pdf

If a leaky tap can waste around 4 litres of water per day
calculate how much in one week ( 4×7) ?
In the month of May? (4 x 31)?

A leaking toilet can waste up to 400 litres of water per day,
So how much in one week ( 400 x 7 )
In the month of May ( 400 x 31)

Calculate some astounding maths figures about our waste in our houses and in school! Remember there’s not only one toilet in some of these places!
Could you check the taps and toilets in school regularly? Could you be a detective and save water?
Make a poster and bring it to school once we’re back together
Write to Julie, our caretaker if you have any thoughts or ideas about this or Mrs Noble.
I’m sure Mrs Prest and Miss Huntley would love to hear about your efforts and ideas too.

All of this is also on Google classroom with links and added information where necessary.

Have some exercise today and enjoy your weekend.
Mrs F x
