World Book Day

Year 6 had great fun on World Book Day working alongside author Adam Bushnell and dressing as something from a poem. Year 6 worked with Adam to look at Lewis Carroll’s “The Jabberwocky” and re-wrote their own versions, in his style, using nonsense words throughout – it’s harder than it looks!

Number Day 2020

Year 6 enjoyed celebrating number day to raise money for the NSPCC. We dressed as rockstars and did everything from Bingo to board games. We carried out competitions to see who could use their coins to make the tallest tower, largest number and spell out number day 2020.

Christmas science workshop

Year 6 enjoyed getting into the christmas spirit with a scientific christmas workshop. First the children were tasked with making toothpaste for reindeers, they really enjoyed seeing the chemical reaction. Then they used their prior knowledge of changing state to make their own vanilla scented bauble bath-bombs.
