Tuesday 19th May

Tuesday 19th May

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Today we are adding 2- and 3- digit numbers – crossing 10 and 100.

The link for the video is https://vimeo.com/417332285

If you are working from the Year 2 online lessons, you will be learning about repeated addition and multiplication: describing arrays.

Just go onto BBC Bitesize home learning year 2, Tuesday 19th May.

The English on BBC Bitesize today is ‘Using formal and informal language.’

Watch the short video clip and think about when we use formal and informal language. The activities will help you to think about this. Do at least activity 2 and 3. You can discuss activity 4 with a grown up.

I have also attached a handwriting sheet for your spellings.

Remember to read and go onto spelling shed.

Today’s science is about how plants grow. You will need bean seeds for this lesson or if you have others seeds they could work too. I know you may not have seeds today. You might not be able to get seeds at all. If not, go through the slides and just complete the first part of the worksheet. Just do your best.

With your grown up, follow the instructions on the Growing Beans worksheet. If you are able to plant seeds, begin to record the number of shoots that appear on the table as the days go by.

Think about these questions as you do your work.

Can you name the main parts of flowering plants?

Can you explain the function of the roots?
