Hello year 6!

For maths today I would like you to apply your learning of algebra to the sheet attached. Remember the letter just replaces a number and if there is a number and a letter together, with no symbol in between, it is a multiplication calculation needed.

For English I would like you to complete one reading plus comprehension task, one vocabulary task and one writing task. Within this writing task I would like to see you using ambitious vocabulary. Remember another word for words with the same meaning but different words are synonyms, these can be googled or found in a thesaurus. Try to incorporate these in your writing but make sure it makes sense.

The final part of our topic work this week looking at the digital revolution is comparing it to the industrial revolution which you touched upon when exploring the Victorian era in Year 5.

Explain what the industrial revolution was and the impact it had on people.

Put together similarities and differences between the industrial revolution and the digital revolution. Which one do you think has been more beneficial? Why do you think this? Remember to consider if the digital revolution would be able to go ahead without the industrial revolution.

Finally, day 4 of sports week is focusing on is running, this would be better in a garden or an outdoor space. Remember to send your times, pictures or videos. Well done boys and girls you are doing amazing!
