Today as part of our RE topic on celebrations we decided to have a party to celebrate returning back to school. We decorated biscuits and made party hats. We then played some party songs. We are proud to be in Reception class and looking forward to this term.

Reception Class had a very busy morning today. We were working outside with Helen from Oases. She set us some challenges . We had to make ourselves a den to keep us warm and sheltered. Reception Class have been looking at photographs of their own Baptism. Today we took baby Mary to church to get baptised. Father Hastie showed us the special oil and water. He blessed us all with Holy water. l          

Today Reception Class went to the beach to work with Playology. The weather was amazing and the sun was shining. We had such a busy day finding treasures, making dens, sand sculptures and rivers. We finished the day toasting marshmallows around our fire pit. Mrs Groark was so proud of our super behaviour.

Reception Class were trying to make their own magic potions. First of all they had to make a magic wand using leaves and sticks. They then made a magic potion using mud. They also made a class potion that started to bubble !!!

This week Terri Gee from Asda came to visit Reception Class. He brought with him lots of different types of fruit  for the children to try.We spoke about how important it is to try and eat 5 types of fruit a day. We had lots of fun.

Gail from skipping school came in as part of our active week this week. She worked with all classes and trained some of our KS2 children to be playground leaders. Our skills are absolutely amazing!
