St. Cuthbert's Primary School Seaham
As we came to the end of our Special Books RE topic, we reflected on all we had heard and learnt, As a whole class, we planned a class liturgical prayer using the scripture from Mark’s Gospel; Jesus feeds 5000 which was one of the scriptures we had listened to and retold in our topic.
In the story, Jesus showed how he was able to feed the hungry. We discussed why we felt that Jesus had done this and what this told us about Him. We decided as our mission, we would donate some food to the local food bank so that we too could feed the hungry.
Mrs Wilkinson was overwhelmed with how kind we all were in our donations. Today, Arlo and Olivia visited the food bank at Dawdon Community Centre with Mrs Wilkinson to deliver what we had collected. They were very grateful.
