Wednesday 3rd June

Good morning everyone. We are half way through the week already. How are you doing? The weather has been lovely so I hope you are spending plenty of time outside keeping fit and healthy.

Today if you are working from the orange you will be subtracting a 3-digit number from a 3 – digit number – exchange. The link you need is https://vimeo.com/420240964

If you need to work from turquoise you need to go on to White Rose home learning Year 2. Watch the clip then complete the attached turquoise sheet. Don’t forget you can still go on to BBC Bitesize if you want to recap fractions.

For English, you need to go onto BBC Bitesize and year 3. You will be revising apostrophes in contractions. Watch the clip to remind yourself about how to use apostrophes for contraction. There are 3 activities for you try.

Go onto Reading Shed as well as practicing our spellings for this week.

Science

Today you are going to explore some of the ways in which flowering plants disperse their seeds.

Look at the seeds explaining the different methods of seed dispersal.

You will need to print of the sheet if you can. If you can’t print off the work, talk through the answers with your grown up. The fact cards show a variety of fruits. Cut and stick them in the correct boxes on the Fruits and Seeds sheet, then discuss the question about seed dispersal at the bottom of the page.

Don’t forget to have plenty of active time. If the weather changes, you may need to think of activities you can do indoors. Joe Wicks is on every day at 9.00 am. See if you can be inventive with your exercises
