Thursday 25th June

Hello year 6!

Today we are moving onto exploring the mean. The mean is the average of a set of numbers. To find the mean I add up the total of the numbers I have and divide by how many numbers I added.
For example:
2,3,4
Added together – 2 + 3 + 4 = 9
9 divided by 3 = 3
The mean of 2,3,4 is 3.
Try the sheet attached in google classroom.

For English today I would like you to read chapter 8 then complete the attached comprehension in google classroom.
After this, I would like you to make a prediction about what the King could do to make it up Daisy and make her words “untrue: and prove he is as wonderful as he says he is.

Reminder, that you should still be trying to access reading plus, even for the vocabulary tasks.

Today’s PHSE tasks are about making decisions and understanding the consequences of our decisions.
Read through the powerpoint, then there are 2 activities to complete. The first activity is thinking about a decision you have to make and weigh up the pros and cons of this decision. The second activity is a decision tree. For this you need to pick a problem and write it in the problem box, on the roots of your tree. Then go on to think about the choices that are an option in this scenario. Jot some down on your decision-making tree. All resources can be found on google classroom.

If you have any problem accessing the resources, please e-mail me directly.

Have a good day year 6!
