Good morning. I hope you have all had a lovely weekend. Let me know what you have been up to. It would be lovely to hear from everyone.

I would just like to say a big thank you to parents for working with your children during this time. I know it isn’t easy doing schoolwork along with everything else you need to do, but it really is appreciated, as it is so important to keep up with some learning. Thank you.

Please let me know if you have any concerns and I will do my best to help you. I am in school teaching Key worker children but will try to get in touch with everyone over the next couple of weeks.

 

This week we will be using White Rose home learning for maths and BBC Bitesize for some English lessons. We will also continue with our DT topic.

 

 

Maths

Today you be learning to draw lines and shapes accurately. As always I have also added Year 2 work if you need it. If you are doing Year 2 work, you will be learning to measure in grams

Lesson 2

Today you are going to design and plan a sandwich for a particular purpose.

Over the next few lessons you will be designing, making and evaluating your own sandwich.

Look at the slides and discuss with a grownup.

What is wrong with the sandwich?

How could you make the instructions clearer?

Go through the correct order for making a sandwich.

 

Activity

Plan your sandwich describing each step of the process.

When you have designed your sandwich you will need to have you ingredients ready for tomorrow.

I have attached the slides, worksheet and a food pyramid.
