Monday 27th April

Good Morning Year 6!
Another week of hard work and positive attitudes! I am so impressed at how hard you are all working.

Today for ‘Mental Monday Maths’ I would like you to complete your arithmetic. Mrs Prest scored 35 so this is your score to beat. We only have 1 more left to do so since I am not giving you any time limits, take your time and let’s see if we can beat our best scores and Mrs Prest!

For English I would like you complete 30 minutes of reading plus then to use the BBC Bitesize link below to complete the punctuation and paragraphs task – watch the videos and see how you get on. I have put a paragraphs and punctuation tasks on SPAG.com for you to put into practice what you have been revising today.

Once you have completed this I have attached an RE task below, as the first in a series of lessons about Pentecost. You can choose to use the template I have attached or create one of your own to display your work (remember you do not have to print it out.)

Can you tell me what Pentecost is?
Think about times you might have been in a situation when you saw something happen which was unusual, strange or even wrong and you knew you needed to tell someone. You were unsure for a number of reasons. Maybe you thought people would laugh at you, not believe you, or you might get into trouble. Draw a storyboard of the situation and what a Christian would do in that situation and give reasons why.

Finally, on the school website I have set a whole school science task. I would like you to use your scientific understanding to explore which picture is the odd one out and explain why using your scientific knowledge. Remember there is never a right or wrong answer for this as it is down to your own observations. Share your responses on google classroom on so you and your friends can start a discussion about what you think. Do they agree? Do they disagree?

You will find it on this link https://www.stcuthbertsprimary.com/science/

Once you have completed today’s tasks, find a way to relax and take some time for yourself doing something you enjoy.
