Year 6 showed a great knowledge and understanding of fire safety and now understand the risks of fire and how to check their house is safe.
They also looked at fire safety from the point of view of the firefighters who risk their lives to save others and how they might feel as November 5th approaches. They wrote some of their own public announcements to make people think before creating their own lockdown firework displays and bonfires.
Due to new lockdown restrictions the children found a new and risk free way of enjoying a firework display …. by making their own using their coding skills.
It is really important we are aware of the risks and have an escape plan since we are spending more time at home at the moment. Remember: get out….stay out….call 999.
