Wednesday 10th June.

Hello everyone,

A big shout out to everyone who participated in the sports challenge! I have added the link again below so you can check out today’s challenge. Don’t forget to upload your pictures or videos to the google classroom or to email them to me.

Today in maths we will continue with money. today we will be thinking about finding change. If you sit on yellow table for maths can you practise finding change from 10p. I have added a task sheet  for you to have a go at. It is called ‘Yellow table maths.’
If you sit on red, blue or green table for maths we will be continuing with the White Rose alternative lessons. I have added the link  and we are working on ‘Finding Change’. Here you will find a link to a video to help you. I have also added the task sheet to google classroom. https://wrm-13b48.kxcdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Y2-Week-7-Alternative-Plan.pdf

Today in English, we will be using today’s BBC Bitesize English lesson – Using commas in a list. Watch the video and have a go at the interactive activity two. I have then added some activities for you to try on google classroom.

We will continue our `RE topic today – The Sacrament of Reconciliation and we will be thinking all about rules.
In year 2 children are introduced to the idea of sin and the importance of saying sorry and forgiveness. They are taught about and learn how to make an examination of conscience, say a simple prayer of sorrow and are introduced at a basic level to what happens during the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Lesson 2: God has rules to help us live well with ourselves and each other. Read God’s People (see below). Talk about what it means and which words or phrases you like best. But sometimes we deliberately break important rules about loving. When something bad is done on purpose, that we know will upset or hurt someone, that is called a ‘sin’. When we purposely don’t do something that we know we should do and know that it will hurt or upset someone that, too, is a sin. A sin breaks our friendship with God and others and makes us feel bad. When we sin, God still loves us, just as our parents love us even when they do not like what we do. Read Chloe’s Story (see below). The task is in the link on thre google classroom.

Have a good day!

Mrs Wilkinson
