For the academic year 2015/16, St Cuthbert’s RCVA Primary School received £55,200 in Pupil Premium funding.

Focus Impact at the end of the academic year
Employing two part time support teachers to provide additional support for developing writing, handwriting, comprehension skills and mathematics in Years 1,2,3,5 and 6.

Pupils have shown increased confidence in these subject areas.

100% of Year 6 Pupils achieved the expected standard in reading and GPS.

87% of Year 6 Pupils achieved the expected standard in writing.

96% of Year 6 pupils achieved the expected standard in maths.

Disadvantaged children and children with SEN achieved as well as Non FSM in reading, GPS and Maths. Two children did not achieve the expected standard in writing.

A higher proportion of Year 6 pupils achieved Greater Depth than nationally.

Year 2 pupils achieved in line with National standard for the expected standard and Greater depth.

Two additional Teaching Assistants to support interventions for all classes in KS1 and KS2.

One out of two (50%) of our Year 2 children (those who did not pass in Year 1) passed their Phonics re-test.

97% of our Year 2 children (July 2016) have met the expected standard for phonics (National 91%).

Little Fingers, Ukulele

Gives children who don’t learn an instrument the opportunity to learn and appreciate music.

Year 3 had First Access ukulele tuition and one child who is FSM has tuition paid for.

Taking part in the Achievement for All Programme and working with an achievement coach.

79% of Year 1 pupils entered Year 2 achieving the expected standard of Year 1.

Free milk for current FSM children following the Government announcement that from January 2015, FSM children should be offered free milk.
