Today, Year 6 finally got to experience their activity day that had been cancelled before due to bad weather. We had a go at some activities on the beach. With the sun shining, OPAL play has been in full swing. The children have thoroughly enjoyed dressing up, drawing with the chalks and digging in the dinosaur world tuff trays. The children’s imaginations have been running wild and as staff, love to see the children flourish in creativity and independence.  

Year 2 Singing Club have been singing songs from the musicals. This week, we did a rendition of  Castle In The Clouds from Les Miserables.

Year 6 had a treat on Friday as they got to hold our new chicks. The chicks were very well behaved and were happy to fall asleep on our hands. We noticed that some of them were already starting to develop feathers on their wings and we are looking forward to watching them grow over the next few days.

Year 3 have been practising the violin for their music concert on Thursday 26th June in Horden. They have been rehearsing the music they will perform and have thoroughly enjoyed learning to play a musical instrument.

After a super busy week, year 5 finished off with a trip to Richmond Castle. Stuart had some many amazing stories to share that had many laughing and some gobsmacked!
