After a super busy week, year 5 finished off with a trip to Richmond Castle. Stuart had some many amazing stories to share that had many laughing and some gobsmacked! The children spent the last of their money before jumping on the bus back to school. An amazing week had by all but we couldn’t wait to see our families.

Today, the children headed out onto the moors to follow the lead mining trail of Grinton. They learnt what is was like to be a lead miner and started digging to find their own Galena. This morning, Year 2 attended an outdoor event at Peterlee Pavilion. We did a selection of different activities including obstacle courses, water challenges and teamwork games. We demonstrated our skills in front of other schools. We developed our resilience, teamwork and problem solving skills. We all had a wonderful time.
