Year 5 had a fantastic time doing Glow Fit with Sophie from Easington Schools Sport Partnership. We all got dressed with bright accessories and then danced around to our favourite songs. The glow sticks and flashing lights helped with the party atmosphere. We had a fabulous workout.

Year 5 learned all about the Jewish festival of Passover and the symbolism of the Seder meal. We tried some charoset, karpas and matzo and learned how the different textures and tastes represent the bitterness, tears and the cement used by slaves to build the pyramids.

Year 5 are exploring life cycles this term. We’re starting by looking at the life cycles of plants. Our allotment is full of plants with fruit and seeds after a warm summer. Some slugs are enjoying the cabbages as well, as you can probably tell from some of the facial expressions!
