Year 5 & 6 Christmas Lunch Year 5 & 6 also enjoyed an amazing Christmas Lunch on Wednesday.  Year 6 were sad to realise it was their last Christmas Dinner made by Jan!

We had a brilliant time keeping active with Candy Cane and his elves from the Easington School Sports Partnership!  Thank you to the staff and fantastic sports leaders from Seaham High School who came to make sure we all had lots of fun!

Soft Archery Some Y5 and Y6 pupils had a chance to try some soft archery in school on Friday with Mrs Herron. It was great to try something new and everyone did brilliantly when listening to advice to improve their techniques.  

During October, we began exploring inspirational people for Black History Month. Using a project inspired by Gomersal Primary School, we made posters about some of the amazing men and women we learned about.

The Sacrament of Marriage In Year 5 we have been learning about sacraments and focusing especially on the sacrament of marriage. We thought about the symbols and the steps in the ceremony we might see and we planned some readings and hymns for a marriage. We are very proud of our Year 5 and Year 6 children who represented our school at the tag rugby competition on Wednesday. The A team came 4th and the B team came 7th overall which is an amazing achievement.

As a school on Tuesday 18th,  we took part in the “million children pray the rosary” campaign for peace and unity in the world. Deacon Peter visited Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and explained what the rosary was and why we pray it. Then together they recited the Hail Mary, Our Father and Glory Be together. At 11am Year …

We are very proud of our girls football team who performed very well on Wednesday in the Bishop Cup tournament.  

Year 5 and Year 6 enjoyed going to Mass on Monday where Father Marc gave us the mission going forward to show kindness to one another. Visiting church would not be complete without a photograph with Father Marc.

Well Done! A huge well done to our Cross Country teams yesterday! They ran like the wind and we are so proud of them all – especially when running up the hill! House Point Winners – George House Group! Well done to George House Group who earned the most points overall for their amazing behaviour around school this half term. As it was such a hot day on Tuesday, we decided to have some fun in the shade and cool down!

Cricket Champions! A big well done to our A and B teams in cricket today. They represented school brilliantly at Seaham Park today and A team were overall winners.
