Wednesday 8th July

Wednesday 8th July

Hello everyone. We are half way through the week. Thank you if you are sending your work in. If you haven’t managed to send work in this week, try to upload some on Google classroom. Thank you to parents for helping your child with home learning. I know it can be quite tricky to fit everything in. I really do appreciate everything you are doing.

Maths

Today you be learning to add and subtract masses. If you are doing Year 2 work, you will be revising time – o’clock and half past. You only need to do year 2 worksheets if you struggle with year 3. You don’t need to do both sheets.

Watch the videos on white rose home learning then complete the attached worksheets.

Don’t forget Time Table Rockstars. Let me know how you are getting on. Which times tables do you know really well?

English

The lesson today is using alliteration to write headlines.

Newspaper articles use headlines to attract attention.

Headlines are written at the top of an article and hint about what the article will be about.

Watch the clips then try the activities.

If you find this tricky have a look at year 2.

As with the year 3 work, watch the clips then try the activities.

Arts Week

Today’s Arts Week lesson is Drama and theatre. We would often do drama to act out texts we were reading or when we are doing RE.

Watch the clips and try the activitiy.

Don’t forget to have plenty of active time.

You can also spend a bit of time on Spelling Shed and Reading Plus.
