Good morning everyone. Today we are continuing with White Rose home learning for maths and Bitesize for English.

 

 

Maths

Today you be learning to tell the time to the nearest 5 minutes. We have done work with time this year so this will be good for revision. As always I have also added Year 2 work if you need it. If you are doing Year 2 work, you will be learning to measure in millimeters.

Today I would like you to go on BBC Bitesize. The lesson today is using Bullet points. We have not covered this much this year so just do the best you can.

Watch the clips then have a go of some of the activities.

If you struggle with this task, try year 2. The activity for year 2 is alphabetical order.

 

Geography

Our topic for geography is Extreme Earth

Lesson 1 (This might take a couple of days)

Today you are going to describe what you find underground.

What do you think is under your feet right now? Could you dig a hole straight through the Earth to the other side?

Look at the lesson presentation and discuss what might be under our feet.

Now you are going to be an underground explorer. You will need a grownup to help you with this. Close your eyes and imagine you are being lowered down through a sink-hole. Ask your grownup to read the Explorer Script and talk through each layer in the style of a tour guide.

Draw and label your own cross section diagram through the Earth.
