Monday 1st June

Good morning everyone I hope you all had a lovely break and spent lots of time enjoying the glorious weather!

For maths today we are going to recap measuring mass. Begin by taking a look at the slideshow to help you understand how to measure with non-standard units of measurements. A balance scale has been set up in the classroom to compare the weights of different objects. Click through the slideshow to see how to balance the objects. After that complete the accompanying worksheet.

For English today we are going to practice writing correctly punctuated sentences.

Click the link and complete activity 3 to make some interesting pirate sentences. Remember to begin your sentences with a capital letter, include finger spaces between each work and to complete your sentence with a full stop. Make sure you spend some time practising your phonics too. Visit phonicsplay.com and play practise phases 3, 4 and 5 on buried treasure or Obb and Bob.

Finally I would like you to think about Miss Huntley’s Rights Respecting Article of the Week focusing on article 19. Discuss this with your adults and choose an activity to do together. You could design a safety Poster or you can list as many people as you can who keep you protected and safe.

Have a great day everyone!

Stay safe!
