Monday 1st June

Monday 1st June

Hello everyone, I hope that you have all had a lovely half term. It would be lovely to hear what you have all been up to.

For maths today we will be practicing our 10x table. I would like you to practice counting on in 10s and then chanting your 10 times tables.
We will then be working from White Rose on Summer week 6, lesson 1.https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-2/ I have added the task sheets to google classroom.

English
This week in Geography we are going to be thinking about the the Polar regions. We also started learning about how some animals are suited to their environment in science before school was closed. Today, I would like you to complete the reading comprehension all about polar animals on the google classroom. If you sit at yellow table for English, I would like you to complete the sheets that have one star at the bottom, orange and green tables, two stars and red and blue, three stars.

Geography
Today we will be thinking about the coldest places on Earth, Antarctic and the Arctic. What can you find out about the two places? Think about the temperature, what lives there, where abouts in the world they are and any other important facts. I have attached two powerpoints to google classroom for you to have a look at too.

Have a nice day and remember to get some active time in! I have been doing some bootcamps in the garden to keep me fit!

Much love
Mrs Wilkinson xxx
