Y2 Outdoor and Adventurous Morning

This morning, Year 2 attended an outdoor event at Peterlee Pavilion. We did a selection of different activities including obstacle courses, water challenges and teamwork games. We demonstrated our skills in front of other schools. We developed our resilience, teamwork and problem solving skills. We all had a wonderful time.

National Fish & Chip Day

On Friday, to celebrate National Fish & Chip Day, year 5 swapped their plates for cardboard boxes and enjoyed a traditional fish and chip lunch. They had a choice of fish or fish bites, accompanied by chips and either beans, peas or hoops and fished with curry, tomato sauce or tartare sauce. Lunch time was topped off with a wonderfully …

Today, 10 children braved the wind and the rain to take part in an outdoor athletics competition at Easington Colliery Primary School. KS2 Boys Cricket

Today, after a few last minute changes, the boys headed, in the sunshine, to Blackhall Cricket Club to play against 12 other schools from the local area. The boys played against some tough competition but pulled together showing exceptional teamwork, winning 2/4 games. Well done boys!

KS2 girls cricket

Today, 8 girls from KS2 headed over to Seaham Park Cricket Club for a tournament against 12 other schools. Each game the girls played, they improved in skill, resilience and were fantastic ambassadors of St Cuthberts. Well done girls!

Year 5 Well-being Afternoon

Year 5 had a wonderful afternoon with Sophie from Easington SSP. After an assembly in the morning, the children did a range of activities covering the 5 ways of wellbeing. They took part in fitness bingo, letter assemble and the hoop challenge. It was important they listened to each other, worked together and took notice of themselves and their friends.
