A visit from our Mayor
Our Mayor, Councillor Sue Morris came to our school today for a special visit. Councillor Morris talked to all of our children about the upcoming Queen’s Jubilee and presented all of our children with a special medal in honour of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. It was lovely to see her.

Y4 were given the opportunity to attend a tennis festival. Four children took part in a competition against other schools playing actual tennis matches. Last Thursday was Outdoor Classroom day and our children used our fantastic school grounds to enjoy some outdoor learning. Some of the activities that took place were scavenger hunts, potion making, orienteering, mini-beast hunts, active games and making symmetrical patterns. Luckily, the weather was kind to us and it was a great day for everyone involved.

Tuesday was the last session of Library Club for our Y2 children. We read the story of The Gingerbread Man and the children enjoyed joining in with some of the parts and then re-telling it to their friends. They decorated their very own Gingerbread Man but their favourite part was eating them at the end of the story.
