I’m going to include a different task each day. This week we are going to base our work on the story of, “The Snail and the Whale.’ This is a really lovely story about friendship and we are going to start the topic by watching a film based on the book. Our tasks today are looking carefully at being a friend. Some of you have been sending messages to your friends so our writing task today is to write a message to someone who might be feeling lonely. In our maths work we are looking at spirals and patterns. I’ve included some spirals for you to cut out if you don’t have a printer you can use a circle of paper or a paper plate and cut around. You could then make your spiral into a snail.
In RE we are looking at the story of Jesus friends and I want you to do a drawing of your friend and think about how you could be a good friend to Jesus. Your active task today is Jigsaw Challenge.
Lots of you were using the daily RWI phonics programme a new part is starting today called hold a sentence which will extend the children’s phonics even further. I hope you can find some of these activities useful and fun to do. Don’t forget to send me some photographs I always love to see what you are up to as I miss you all lots.
Have fun xxx
