St. Cuthbert's Primary School Seaham
Year 6 had a fantastic time on day 1 of their residential at Brancepeth.
Bushcraft
During our bushcraft session, the children had to forage for natural resources and made their own shelters. We tried tasting some sorrow which we found which the children decided was either unpleasant or tasted like apples. This was followed by creating our own fires and roasting marshmallows.
Archery
The children really enjoyed archery. It was harder than it looked but once we got a feel for it we were hitting the target!
Laser Tag
This was really good fun. We had different bases and were able to use the woodland area to try and tag our friends.
Team Games
Back at school after pizza and chip we got back into our teams and completed some team games and a fun team obstacle race. It was nice to spend time with friends in the sunshine.
