Wednesday 3rd June

Hello Year 6!

Today for maths I would like you to continue with your work on fractions, percentages and decimals. Today you will be comparing them. Watch the videos and practice on https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zrkw2fr

Try activity 1 and if you are feeling confident complete activity 2.

If you are feeling less confident after activity 1, you can complete 20 minutes of TT Rockstars.

For English today I would like you to go onto Reading plus and complete one comprehension task, one vocabulary task and one writing task. The writing tasks are selected based on texts you have read. Give one a go and see what you think.

Then I would like you to complete the practice tasks about fronted adverbials which you will later use https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zv67xyc

Following this I would like you to follow the advice on how to write a story setting. This setting should be for the character you created yesterday. Remember to be detailed and use good, ambitious vocabulary.

For science I would like you to complete the learning about life cycles https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z7ww7nb

Then produce a piece of work demonstrating the life cycle of an animal of your choice. Make sure your work contains an illustration and labels. The arrows in your diagram should point in the direction of which the life cycle progresses. Eg. For a frog you would show frog spawn then an arrow pointing to a tadpole etc.

Remember this can be hand-written, you could do it on purple mash, produce a video, animation or any other creative ways you can think of sharing your work.

Finally, I would like you to use the school website to look at this week’s article – article 19. Complete one rights respecting task of your choice and share it on google classroom.

Have a good day and remember, it is Wednesday…. WOW ME!
