Tuesday 2nd June

Hi everyone,

For today’s learning, I would like you to start with maths. We are going to multiply fractions by whole numbers (sometimes called integers). Think of this like repeated addition. If you ate quarter of a pizza then another quarter then another quarter this would be 3/4. That is the same as saying 3/4 x 3. This video will talk you through it and I have attached the sheet below. ONLY DO SHEET ONE unless you want to try the harder challenge of sheet 2.

You can also find a game and another activity on https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z6ghscw which will tell you a little more about this.

Please spend a little time on Reading Plus and/or Lexia today.

We are going to do some geography work on rivers. Firstly, you will need to go to https://www.twinkl.co.uk/go.
You need to add the code FB7124
You will then find 3 activities linked to rivers. First of all, you can learn some of the rivers in the UK. Keep having a go at these games until you are pretty good at them.

The third activity is some key vocabulary linked to rivers. This is our English task for today as well. It is a multiple choice quiz which will help you learn some important words. Once you have played a few times, please can you use the game to help you create a glossary for rivers. You need to choose at LEAST 8 words but it can be as many as you like. Your words need to be arranged in alphabetical order and have a definition next to them.
