Science Club Erupts with Excitement!

Our Year 3 children had an amazing time in After-School Science Club this week as they explored mixtures and created their very own mini volcano eruptions!

The session began with a hands-on investigation into how different materials can be combined to form mixtures. The children showed brilliant curiosity as they predicted, tested, and observed what would happen when everyday ingredients were mixed together.

Using bicarbonate of soda, vinegar, and a splash of food colouring, the children watched their volcanoes bubble, fizz, and erupt. There were plenty of smiles, gasps, and excited shouts as the reactions took place.

It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm, teamwork, and scientific thinking from our young learners.

We’re already looking forward to next week’s experiment!
