Monday 29th June

Hi everyone – have you all had a lovely weekend? The weather has been a bit funny hasn’t it but I hope you all managed some fresh air and some fun outside.

This week we are going to look at reading some tables in maths and understanding data. To start with we are going to find information out from tables. Watch the video https://vimeo.com/430336159 to see how you can use your calculation skills to help you. Then have a go at the worksheets – remember that the questions get harder as you go through so stop whenever you need to. If you can’t get on the Google Drive then email me and I will send you the worksheets.

In English we are going to revise how to use relative clauses. A relative clause comes after a noun and gives us more information about the noun. Sometimes a relative pronoun (who, whose, that, which, when, where) can be used. For example: We will go out on Tuesday WHEN THE WEATHER WILL IMPROVE. The girl WHO SPOKE TO YOU was nice. Sometimes the relative pronoun isn’t there but we will look at that later in the week. Have a look at the BBC Bitesize page https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zkcd7sg and then for task 2 focus on this BBC Newsround clip to go with the work attached. https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/52302486

Finally in RE, our new topic is STEWARDSHIP. To be steward means you take care of something or someone for someone else. You may have seen stewards at football matches or concerts. They have a responsibility to take care of the crowds of people. We are going to think about how we are stewards for God to care for His world. There are some notes attached for your parents as well to explain the topic.
