Monday 20th April

Hello everyone,

I hope that you have all had a lovely Easter break and you all enjoyed lots of chocolate eggs!

With your home learning I am going to continue setting some maths and English for you each day as normal but also another activity which may be some science, RE or Geography etc.

English

For English today you will be looking at different kinds of fiction books and discussing your favourite books with your adults. Take turns talking to your adult about what your favourite book is and why and listen to your adult about what their favourite book is. After that, follow the link below and complete the three activities.

Maths

Today we are going to look at doubling. Doubling means adding the same number to its self. Follow the link below to and answer the questions on the attached worksheet. If you need to you can use any objects around your house as counters to help you.

Geography

This week we are going to look at the British isles.  Talk with your adults about what four countries make up Great Britain where we live. Which country do we live in? Look at the map below. If you have access to a printer, print off the map and colour in England red, Scotland blue, Wales yellow and Northern Ireland green. If you don’t have access to a printer have your adult help you draw the map and colour the countries. Don’t worry if it isn’t perfect, just have a try!
