Hello Year 3! I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and are ready to start a new week of learning.

I am now in school most days teaching in one of the Year 6 bubbles so I won’t be checking Google classroom or my emails during the day as much as I have been. I will be checking, but it will be at the end of the day. If I haven’t heard from you in a little while, let me know how you are getting on.

Don’t forget, if you find any of the work a bit tricky; try either Year 1 or 2 BBC Bitesize. You can also get in touch and I will help you the best I can.

 

We are going to continue with fractions this week if you are working from Year 3. You will be ordering, adding, subtracting and problem solving fractions. If you are working from Year 2 you will be doing 2D and 3D shape work.

The English looks really nice. It’s poetry week this week so I’m sure you will enjoy that. We have one more RE lesson to finish then we will move onto another topic.

 

Maths

Log on to White Rose home learning, either Year 3 or 2.

Year 3 – Watch the video about ordering fractions then complete the attached worksheet.

English

You need to go onto BBC Bitesize – Exploring poetry. Watch the clip then try the quiz on Activity 1. There are only 4 questions. You can either complete activity 2 (I have attached the poem) or do activity 3 and 4.

RE

Today we are going to finish our Choices topic.

Respond – Follow the slides and see if you can make your own simple liturgy. Think about how we do our liturgy in class.

Gather – could be to listen to some quiet music.

Word – think about the RE you did last week and some of the scripture you read.

Response – you might want to use your own prayer or draw a picture, colour a bookmark. You choose.

Going forth – might just be a discussion of how you will pass on the message to others.

 

Don’t forget to have some active time too. This is really important.
