St. Cuthbert's Primary School Seaham
Our B Team played their first tournament of the season tonight. They were absolutely fantastic! We had three matches to play and were on amazing form.
The first game was played against Westlea and our boys won. Dominic scored a cracking goal from outside the box! Finley and Dominic worked really well upfront with some excellent passing and striking.
The second game was against Ribbon. Again, our boys won. The defence from Jaden and Jake was very strong and Matthew scored his first goal. At this point, we had won our first two games and if we won the last one, we would be in the final!
The last game was against St Mary Magdalene’s and unfortunately, they were just too strong for us. Great midfield work from Matthew and Noah ensured we had some chances. Roman was, as always, fabulous in goal and made some great saves, they could have beaten us by quite a few more if he hadn’t have kept them out.
Congratulations to the boys, you did us proud. Also, great support was shown by the grown-ups who came to watch. We hope to see you all at the next game!
