Drop Everything and Read (DEAR)

This year is ‘The Year of Reading’ and  the children will be taking part in lots of different activities to promote reading for pleasure and to support their love of reading.  One of these is our weekly ‘DEAR’ session. At some point over each week, when the children hear the signal, they must drop everything and read.
It was lovely this morning to see our children reading a book that they enjoy, with some children even bringing a book from home.
