Last week was Children’s Mental Health Week. This year, the theme is ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’. Children took part in a variety of activities to help raise awareness of mental health. KS2 took part in a live assembly provided by Picture News and KS1 had some class discussions about getting to know themselves and how they can recognise and understand their feelings.
Everyday, we looked at the Five Ways to Well-Being and learnt how important it is to look after our well-being. We learnt some techniques to help us to keep ourselves feel calm and relax.
On Friday, children were invited to come to school dressed in something that makes them happy. We had an amazing day and the children really enjoyed explaining why their clothes made them feel happy.
