Year 5 Mini Police

Year 5 had their second session with the Durham Police for the Mini Police Project today.

We learnt all about the air response and discussed the job of the police helicopter and drones. We were very interested to hear about the dog unit and all of the special training the dogs need. We had a go at guessing all of the things the dogs are trained to find.

Finally, we found out about the crime scene investigation unit and how they can uncover evidence to help solve crimes.

We had all completed our booklets and were awarded the Bronze award for Mini Policing. We are working towards our Silver award this week.
