Year 4 walked down to Seaham beach today to look at the formation of the cliffs and features of the beach. We have been studying the topic of coasts as part of our Geography topic. We were quite lucky with the weather and found some caves and groynes as well as lots of different rocks and pebbles that had been deposited on our beach. It was good to see all of the different features that we have been learning about first hand. As a special treat we visited The Featherbed Cafe where we were given an ice cream which gave us the energy we needed to walk back up to school. A big thank you to The Featherbed Cafe and our volunteers for making our trip so enjoyable.
