Yesterday, Year 5 took to foot to follow the blue plaque trail around Seaham. They developed a further understanding of what Seaham used to be like before it became a town. The children delved more into the history of the old buildings in Seaham and how and why the Londonderry family developed the harbour and coal mines.
The children enjoyed some free time on the beach along with a delicious ice-cream from The Featherbed. We would like to thank the families who supported us on our walk and the incredible service from Lyndsey and Team at the Featherbed. We all enjoyed our sweet treat!
