Wednesday 18th March

Hello Year 2, Mrs. Wilkinson here. I hope that you are all feeling okay. Here are some of the things that we will be learning in school today that you might like to have a go at either on your own or with your family at home. If you need any help or would like to send me some photographs  to show me what you have been up to then send them to me at k.wilkinson@stcuthbertsprimary.com

Don’t forget times table rock stars and spelling shed. Your passwords should be in the front of your reading log but if not, contact either myself or Mr. Graham and we shall find it for you.

Maths

Today in class we are looking at time again on our clock. Can you practise telling the time? We have looked at o’clock, half past and quarter past already. Once you are confident with these, can you move onto 5 past, 10 past, 20 past and 25 past? Remember the minute hand is bigger than the hour hand!

English

In English today, we will be reading ‘The owl and the pussycat’ poem again and looking at any vocabulary we are unsure of. We will then be answering some questions. I have added the poem and the questions below. You don’t need to write anything down but could just discuss the answers with your grown up or on your own.

Geography

We will be recapping our continents and oceans tomorrow. Why not practise the hopscotch continents and oceans song on YouTube!
