Our School Sports Crew are Year 5 and 6 pupils who help out with sporting activities in school and also our roving reporters who bring you news about competitions, sports events and local clubs.

Sportshall Athletics

We are so proud of our Y5 and Y6 pupils who have represented our school at the sportshall athletics today. The children took part in track and field events and came 4th overall which is a fantastic achievement. Well done!   Here are some action shots caught on camera by Miss Scarr!

Hi-5 Netball

Today some of our children attended the Hi-5 netball festival. There were seven schools in total and the girls showed excellent communication and team-work on their way to a third place finish overall. Well done girls!

Football Results

Both of our teams were playing in a league fixture tonight against Ryhope Juniors. The A-Team took an early lead but Ryhope quickly levelled the score and scored another to make the score 2-1 to them. In the second half, we didn’t give up and kept at them. Our B Team played their first tournament of the season tonight. They were absolutely fantastic! We had three matches to play and were on amazing form. The first game was played against Westlea and our boys won. Dominic scored a cracking goal from outside the box! Our A Team were in action tonight for the first time this season. They played brilliantly and showed excellent sportsmanship and sporting values at all times. Well done Roman!

A huge well done to Roman in Year 3, who came 1st in a dancing competition. Roman came 1st in singles dance, pairs dance and group dance when he went to a dance competition at Butlins during the half term holidays. He has obviously worked very hard. Netball Success!

On Tuesday we went to a netball competition in peterlee at Dene School.  We played Easington Colliery and Ribbon School who were all very good.  We played as a team really well and won with an overall score of 15 points.  We had to keep swapping positions so we could all have a game without anyone being left out.
