The JRSO’s opened up a competition to help appoint a new School Crossing Patrol person. KS1 children all coloured in a picture while KS2 were asked to come up with a poster or leaflet to help advertise the post. The officers were overwhelmed by the entries and had a difficult job of choosing winners.
As well as this, the JRSO’s are becoming concerned about a few incidents which have nearly resulted in children being knocked over. The officers spoke to each class about the dangers and how children should leave the school. The officers will be outside the school gates for the next few days to make sure everyone is keeping themselves safe.
