Computing Lead Teacher in school is Mrs Eadsforth

Our computing curriculum covers Digital Citizenship (how to be safe and how to behave appropriately online), computing (how computers and computer systems work) and Digital Literacy (how we use programmes to present ideas and communicate).  Many of our children come to us already able to use touch screen technologies and interactive toys and through their time with us they learn to use a much wider and more purposeful variety of technologies to create work, to code programs and to use them all safely.  We have invested in iPads and two class sets of ChromeBooks which enable pupils to master both touch screen and keyboard technologies. Our Google Classroom set up helps our pupils learn about using programs in the real world.

Computer programs and online tools are also used to support other areas of the curriculum e.g. Times Tables Rockstarz, Spelling Shed, Purple Mash and Lexia. This term we are running an extra-curricular computer club for Y3 and Y4 pupils.
