Year 6 News

Year 6 really enjoyed ending their Friday afternoon with a glow party with Sophie from the sports partnership.  

Year 6 enjoyed their second lesson of our raising aspirations programme all about skills. They enjoyed using their skills to complete a series of challenges – tongue twisters, guess the voice and playdough models. Then they applied their own skills to designing a game for their friends to play. Next week … CV writing!

Year 6 enjoyed their first Raising Aspirations lesson which focused on qualities. After a quiz to explore different qualities, the children took part in a series of challenges to see what qualities they possessed.   At the end of the activities, the children designed their own quality sweet. Year 6 enjoyed a visit from one of our governors today, Mrs Bell,  who took us over to church and talked us through the stations of the cross. At Dance Club, the Years 5 and 6 have been working so hard this term learning a dance routine to the megamix of High School Musical. It was a relief to find out we had all made it onto the nice list this year!

It is always lovely to have buddy time but this one was special being able to exchange christmas cards we had made and do some christmas craft.

Year 5 & 6 Christmas Lunch Year 5 & 6 also enjoyed an amazing Christmas Lunch on Wednesday.  Year 6 were sad to realise it was their last Christmas Dinner made by Jan!

We had a brilliant time keeping active with Candy Cane and his elves from the Easington School Sports Partnership!  Thank you to the staff and fantastic sports leaders from Seaham High School who came to make sure we all had lots of fun!
