Year 2 Maths

We have been learning all about position in maths. Yesterday we focused on left, right and between. We danced to the ‘cha cha slide’ and practised stepping left and right on the playground. Then we collected some natural materials and followed Mrs Wilkinson’s instructions to position them with a friend.

Year 2 Liturgical Prayer

This week in our liturgical prayer, the children decided to pray in our prayer garder. This week’s focus was the most Holy Trinity. We listened to John’s Gospel and for this week’s mission, the children were asked by Olivia to think of one way that they were going to care for God’s world this week.

Year 2 had a fabulous fun filled day on Wednesday at an outdoor adventures day organised by our amazing sports partnership. Year 2 Stations of the Cross

Year 2 visited church to make a prayer pilgrimage through the stations of the cross to help us to grow closer to Jesus during Lent. We heard the different parts of the story at each station, said prayers and asked God to help us to be better follows of Jesus.

Y2 Capacity

We have been measuring in maths and just before half term we were learning all about millilitres and litres.  Mrs Wilkinson set us a challenge to design our own mocktail.
